Mappy Monday: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery

Today's map is of Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. My Grand Parents John William WAGGONER & Mary Evelyn RICE are buried in Section 106, Site 1243.


Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was opened on May 12, 2000, it is situated on 638.5 acres in the city of Dallas, Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was the sixth national cemetery in the state of Texas and the 118th nationwide. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs currently has developed 152 acres providing 41,102 casketed sites and 18,121 columbaria/garden niches for cremated remains. When fully developed, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery will provide burial space for 280,000 Veterans and their dependents.
